The Trentham Film Society aims to encourage an interest in and promote the study and appreciation of film in an informal social setting. We screen a broad selection of quality films, both classic and more recent, from around the world. There is time after each screening to socialise and discuss the film over a cup of tea. All screenings are held at the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre in Trentham on the 1st Friday of the month at 7:30pm. Membership is open to all and is available at each screening. An exhibition of original pieces by professional and dabbler artists, on the theme 'Who is your old man?' based on a passage Norman Lindsay wrote about his father: He wears a tussone silk coat and a grey belltopper with a flowing pugaree. His face is broad, florid, short nosed and his eye cocked in humour. His beard is light chestnut and it gives him a jovial air. Jovial he is and jovial he affects to be, being an Irishman.
