At Highfields, at 99 Crooked Rd, Romsey an avenue of mature box elder trees froms a marvellous green tunnelled entrance to an extensive and beautiful country garden with an emphasis on structure and seasonal interest. Rick Eckersley originally designed the garden over 20 years ago for his parents and the well known designer has recently recisited it to create a new area. Highfields will be open 10 am - 4.30 saturday and Sunday $7 entrance fee and children under 18 admitted free. An Elegant country garden in the Macedon region opens as part of Australia's Open Garden Scheme

This very special event is a must for all garden lovers Paul Bangays gardens are synonymous with definition and grace, harmony and proportion, the creation of beauty through balance and restraint., Stephanie Alexander's mission to introduce pleasurable food education to as many Australian children as possible. At aKitchen Garden school, children gain a hands on understanding of the natural world and its beauty through their very own kitchen garden. Paul and Stephanie two leaders in their fields will be available throughout the weekend to answer questions, sign books and discuss their work. $20 per adult children under 12 free

 4th Cyclic Navigator adventure mtb

Take the 4th Cyclic Navigator challenge in the mountain bike friendly terrain of Wombat Forest. 6 hour Adventure or 4 hour Scramble. As easy or tough as you like.

Where: The event centre to be advised is as usual, near Daylesford. The Daylesford area has a broad range of accommodation, eating and pastimes.

How: Solo or Pairs. 3 or more? Then ride together.

Who: MTBers, endurance athletes, cross trainers,orienteers, rogainers, rescue and emergency teams, recreational and competitive...
