Bringing Yoga to Life - weekend yoga retreat
Friday, 16 October 2009
7:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Reconnect to the source of your aliveness and find a more natural rhythm that supports your well being.
yoga as a life practice
This retreat will focus on integrating your yoga into your life, guided by some of the ideas presented in Donna Farhi’s book, Bringing Yoga to Life.
In the book, Donna asks, “Who are you becoming through your practice? Are you becoming the world in which you wish to live?”
We will focus on seeing how things are, not how they were in the past, or might be in the future, and ask the question, “what brings us to this moment?”
“Through the practice of postures, we release pent-up tensions that have accumulated in our body, and we further refine our physical senses so that we become sensitive, adaptive and resilient.”- Donna Farhi
The third is a series of fire preparation workshops hosted by the Relocalisation Network. David Holmgren will explain low impact, zero-emission techniques of fuel reduction that all (including children) are capable of doing. $15 per adult.

Our little spring festival honours the Swiss Italian origin of this farm, and celebrates spring in the garden. Relish the tates of the new spring menu at La Trattoria, Lunch al fresco in the grotto (a shady eaterie where tutto il mondo e paese) barbecued Italian sausages lunganighe, wood oven pizzochri, macaroni and pizza slices. Tase na Italian-made wine, or sip lavender lemonade! A little bit of light joyful music will float you way, or children will show how to dance the tarantella. Feel our long Italian-speaking presence in this district - visit the 1860s Italian farmhouse, wonder at the stone construction and the spacious proportions, hear Fay Thompson's family history, and in the cellar, watch Boyd Thompson's travel pix of Ticino (the district of lakes and mountains in southern Switzerland.) Or you can simply loll on the grass, watch the farm animals or wlk in a beautiful garden, taking time to notice the fresh growth of sprin or to hear the small birds bustling through the nesting season. Bring a rug, relax and breathe in the indescribable freshness of spring country air. Its part of the Hepburn Springs Italian Festa.
