| The Tourism and Recreation Department is responsible for planning and co-ordinating recreation facilities and programs within the Shire.
The Department works in partnership with the community to help community organisations help themselves. This philosophy provides the community with a number of approaches including Council providing financial assistance for recreation capital works and/or Local or State Government funding programs matched by community funding.
The Recreation Department can assist you with advice and assistance on:
capital works funding
club development
fundraising
marketing
recreation options
facility design
facility access
We can also provide you with information on local:
playgrounds
swimming pools
clubs and societies
youth activities
