Council’s Compliance Unit is responsible for:

     Pet registration
     Animal control such as wandering stock on the road and dog attacks
     Enforcement of Local Laws such as public street usage, alcohol consumption and burning off regulations.

Please note that wildlife matters are not managed by Council. If you find an injured or orphaned animal you can call Wildlife Victoria's 24 hour statewide Emergency Phoneline on 13 000 WILDLIFE (13 000 94535) or the Hepburn Wildlife Shelter on 5348 3932.

For further information on issues relating to local laws or animal control, please contact the Compliance Unit on 5348 1577 or 5348 1633 or drop into our Customer Services offices in Duke Street, Daylesford.
