During 2009 authorities including Local Government have been working with the State Government and the CFA to develop and improve processes to protect lives and better prepare residents for the coming bushfire season.

In the Hepburn Shire the Shire’s four main towns, Daylesford, Hepburn, Creswick and Trentham, have been declared vulnerable and requiring Township Protection Plans. The CFA has developed these plans.
This and other information including ‘Community Safer Places’ are being detailed by the CFA at community meetings and is available on the CFA website. The CFA website provides details of Community Fire Ready meetings.
