Three separate flood events hit parts of Hepburn Shire between September 2010 and February 2011. These floods will have long-term effects on our local community.
Many homes, businesses, roads, bridges, recreational facilities and natural landmarks were badly damaged - some more than once. It will take time for our community to reconnect, restore and revitalise.
Hepburn Shire Council is working in partnership with local people, Federal and State governments, non-government agencies and the private sector to restore the social, economic, natural and built assets of our community.
In April 2011 Council established the Hepburn Flood Recovery Office in Albert Street, Creswick, to oversee and coordinate the recovery process.
