Council is supporting community groups to organise a variety of events to commemorate Australia Day on Thursday 26 January. Thank you to each group for your work to coordinate local events. Everyone is welcome to attend. 

Clunes 

Clunes Tourist and Development Association is hosting two events in Clunes on Australia Day.

Sunrise walk and flag raising ceremony plus pancake breakfast

Time: 5.45am
Location: Mt Beckworth Reserve (meet at the Dam)

Flag lowering ceremony with Community BBQ and live entertainment
Time: 5.30pm
Location: Collins Place, Fraser Street

 

Creswick

Creswick Railway Workshops Association is facilitating the Australia Day event in Creswick.

Breakfast and flag raising ceremony

Time: 8.00am to 10.00am
Location: 
Park Lake Botanical Reserve
Please register at the Creswick Hub, email railwayworkshops@gmail.com or text 0474 429 625 to confirm attendance for catering purposes. Breakfast will include toast and condiments, egg and bacon rolls, tea and coffee. Please bring your own chair, plates, cutlery and cups.

Glenlyon

Glenlyon Recreative Reserve Committee is organising the event in Glenlyon for Australia Day.
