Carbon Free Action Workshop

BE EMPOWERED…SECURE OUR ENERGY FUTURE, HELP OUR ENVIRONMENT AND HAVE YOUR SAY

Carbon Free Action Workshop

Hepburn Shire Council will be hosting a Carbon Free Action Workshop building on the themes which emerged from the Carbon Free Community Conversations held in June.

The workshop will be held on:

Saturday 14th October – 9.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Victoria Park Pavillion in Daylesford

The workshop will bring together communities from across the shire to explore how your community could lead the way to become carbon neutral. Community members who didn’t attend the initial Community Conversations are welcome to attend this workshop.

Hear from guest speakers who have relevant knowledge and experience and help develop an action plan/roadmap to turn ideas into reality.

  • Learn from the Renewable Newstead and Hepburn Wind community energy experiences
  • Learn more about the Hepburn Solar Bulk Buy opportunity
  • What does it take to conduct a successful household/business energy savings program?
  • Find out more about Waste to Energy opportunities in the Hepburn Shire

Be part of a “ how to” community power workshop which will:

  • Build community knowledge about community energy and the steps involved
  • Familiarise the community with the most viable community energy business models in Australia.
  • Identifying the skills and resources needed.
  • Develop a plan for the next steps toward making community power projects a reality.

The workshops are open to all, however as numbers are limited registration is required.
