Cleaner – Casual staff

•Casual role with a view to go permanent part time
•Hourly rate $41.72*
•Commencing 1 July 2019

We are currently seeking individuals to work across a 7 day roster to undertake cleaning services at Council’s community buildings, offices and public amenities. Join Council’s team of cleaning staff and work closely with your Team Leader to manage your roster to achieve work-life balance.

About the role

Working independently our cleaners are responsible for carrying out cleaning duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, hosing, wiping, disinfecting and waste removal. The role services many buildings and public amenities around the Shire requiring you to have good time management skills to meet schedule objectives. The ability to work efficiently and on your own at times, whilst maintaining a high level of cleanliness is a must.

Working on a casual basis in accordance with a 7-day roster arrangement, you will be flexible with your availability and willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends, public holidays and evenings. Through your friendly and positive nature you will provide polite and courteous customer service and be eager to get in and get the job done!

About you

•Willingness to learn on the job and give 100% at all times.
•Good communication skills with an ability to relate well with a range of people.
•Previous cleaning experience is advantageous.
•Current Driver’s Licence.
•Ability to uphold and demonstrate Hepburn Shire Council’s Organisational Values of Accountability, Respect, Trust, Excellence & Fun.

* The hourly rate includes a 25% casual loading as well as a 25% special engagement rate that compensates for working weekends and public holidays as set out in the Hepburn Shire Council Enterprise Agreement (No.8) 2017
