Council Meeting Outcomes – 18 August 2020

Council at it’s Ordinary Council Meeting for 18 August 2020:

  • Confirmed the meeting minutes from the Ordinary Council meeting held on 21 July 2020
  • Received and noted the Mayor and Councillor reports
  • Received the Chief Executive Officer’s Report for August 2020
  • Approved for the issue of a Notice of Decision to Grant a Planning Permit PA 2682 for a 2 lot subdivision in respect of the land known as 7 Gunyah Drive, Trentham, subject to the conditions detailed in the Ordinary Council meeting agenda on page 11 to 14
  • Approved to issue Notice of Decision to Grant a Planning Permit PA 2692 for the construction of 7 dwellings and a 7 lot subdivision in respect of the land known as 39 Jamieson Street, Daylesford, subject to the following conditions that are detailed in full on page 21 – 29 in the public agenda
  • Resolved to defer the decision relating to PLANNING APPLICATION 2562 – DEVELOPMENT OF LAND FOR A MAINTENANCE SHED 151 LAKE ROAD DAYLESFORD until the September 2020 Ordinary Council Meeting
  • Approved to advertise it’s intention to sell the land at Campbelltown School Site at lot 6 Barry Road Campbelltown by a public process in accordance with S189 of the Local Government Act 1989 and invites community submissions on the proposal
  • Approved to Award Contract Number HEPBU.RFT2020.107 – Footpath Expansion and Renewal in Clunes 2020/2021 for the fixed lump sum of $185,363.25 exclusive of GST to Streebson PTY LTD trading as Ballarat Excavations and Transport and authorised for Council Officers to make variations and additions to the Contract, in excess of the awarded contract value, within Officer Delegation and approved budgets.
  • Accepted all tender submissions to panel contract – Contract Number HEPBU.RFT 2020.81,
  • Accept all tender submissions to panel contract – Contract Number HEPBU.RFT 2020.81 and approved for a letter of acceptance to each tender confirming that the rates that have been supplied are accepted, that there are 01 or 10 members on the contract panel, that there is no guarantee a purchase order will be issued to each tenderer and should council decide to obtain goods,  and that a contract in the form of a purchase order will be issued. Council also approved to authorise officers to issue standing orders and purchase orders within officer delegation, as required to the approved panel of suppliers.
  • Noted the Hepburn Hub at the Rex Hub Project Update report.
  • Received and noted meeting minutes of the Special Committees (Section 86) which has been distributed to Councillors under separate over being the Lee Medlyn Home of Bottles – meeting minutes from 25 June 2020 and 9 July 2020
  • Endorsed  the appointment of the following community members to the Lyonville Community Planning Charter Group.

  • Awarded the funding from the 2020/2021 Community Grants Program to all recipients, related projects and award amounts as detailed on page 72-73 of the public agenda
  • Received and noted the meeting minutes of the Reconciliation Action Plan Advisory Committee from 19 May 2020
  • Received and noted the update on customer requests for June 2020.
  • Received and noted the Development and Community Safety Report for information.
  • Adopted the 2020/2021 Annual Plan
  • Received and noted the Annual Plan 2019/2020 June 2020 Project Update.
  • Received and noted both the Operating Projects Report, and Capital Works Project Report as at 30 June 2020, and the progress of projects.
  • Received and noted the Records of Assemblies of Councillors.
