In accordance with Section 68A of the Domestic Animals Act 1994, every council must prepare a Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP) at 4 yearly intervals, and undertake annual reviews.

Council’s DAMP will set the strategic direction for the Council’s animal management activities until 2021. The Draft DAMP identifies what Council does and plans to do in relation to animal management and explores ways to improve current practices and future directions.

Council is seeking community feedback on the Draft DAMP 2017-2021. Any person may make a written submission to Council on the Draft DAMP and comments will be accepted until 5.00pm on Friday 27 October 2017. Submissions can be made to or in writing to Community Safety, PO Box 21, Daylesford 3460.
