Drum Muster Program

Council participates in the national Drum Muster program and is providing a safe way to dispose of eligible agricultural and vet chemical containers.

Council now collects empty chemical drums for recycling at the Daylesford transfer station. Collections run year round. This service is particularly useful to farmers and those undertaking landcare works. It plays an important role in reducing the amount of rubbish going to landfills.

Make sure Drums are:

  • Rinsed until free of ANY visible chemical residue (triple rinsed);
  • Clean and dry;
  • Punctured if they're metal;
  • With ALL Lids removed.

Note: Containers with dirt, rust and dye stains ARE accepted.
