Got an Idea for a Community Project?

Apply for a community grant… it’s easy!

Grants are available under the following funding streams:

  • Community Grants Round One
  • Towards Zero – Energy Saving Initiatives
  • Community Planning Fund

Community Grants – Active and Engaged Communities

We are inviting applications for community projects that strengthen communities and support volunteers in the community. Grants can also be used for community events or days of celebration, projects with the purpose of connecting communities, building capacity, sustainable environment, resilience and promote partnerships. Council have allocated $40,000 towards this grants stream.

Towards Zero – Energy Efficiency Initiatives

We are inviting Expressions of Interest for projects which will reduce carbon emissions through reduced energy consumption and/or increase the use of renewable energy in community buildings. This is a two stage application process. Council will assist in an assessment of the most appropriate energy efficiency measures to meet the needs of the community building users prior to the submission of a full application. Council have allocated $40,000 towards this grants stream.

Community Planning Fund

We are inviting Expressions of Interest for community projects identified in current Community Plans. This is a two stage application process.  The first stage will describe your project and estimated costs. Stage 2 selected projects will be asked to provide a detailed project plan and quoted costs. Council have allocated $50,000 towards this grants stream.

Round 1 2015-16 is currently open and closes Friday 11 September 2015 at 5.00pm.

“Grant Help” Information sessions to assist your organisation with the Community Grant process will occur on the following dates and at the following locations. These sessions will provide opportunity to discuss your potential projects and work through the application process.

  • Tuesday  18 August 6.30 – 7.30pm  Ulumbarra room , The Warehouse, Clunes

  • Wednesday  19 August  6.30 -7.30pm  Trentham Library, Trentham
