About the role
An exciting opportunity to join the Infrastructure and Development Services team in a leadership capacity to shape the future of Councils environmental and waste services with a large focus on waste reduction strategies. The successful candidate will lead and manage Council’s environmental and waste management services through the delivery of strategic business plans. This role will focus on continuous improvement initiatives and ways in which Council can enhance current practices to enhance our services and the environment. A core objective of this role will be to minimise waste generation and provide environmental benefits and a sustainable future for our community.
The successful candidate will proactively engage with employees at all levels within Council and external parties such as statutory/regulatory authorities to coordinate achievement of objectives within the agreed scope and timeframe. We are seeking an individual who likes thinking outside of the box, uses their initiative to manage competing and changing priorities and is dedicated to reducing environmental impacts through creative and resourceful projects.
