Council and the community are looking forward to celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve at the end of this month – 28 March 2015. Council is marking the occasion with the construction of a new pedestrian bridge that will replace one of the early structures located over the creek adjacent to the entrance car park. This will enable a circuit walking loop as identified in Council’s ‘Walking & Cycling Strategy’ and the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve Management Plan. The construction program is on schedule and the bridge will be complete and ready for an official opening on 28 March to mark the 150th anniversary milestone.

The new pedestrian bridge arrived on a truck from New South Wales and was craned into place on Wednesday 11 March 2015. The bridge spans 32.5 metres and weighs approximately 6 tonnes.
