Transfer Station – Casual staff

•Casual role with a view to permanent part time
•Hourly rate $41.72*
•Commencing 1 July 2019

We are currently seeking individuals to work across a 7 day roster to run the smooth operation of Council’s transfer stations. A friendly and positive nature is a must as you are in a customer-facing role providing direction to visitors and customers who enter the transfer station facility.

As these are outdoor environments you will need to be willing to spend most of your workday outside where appropriate facilities for weather conditions are provided. As the transfer stations are open 7 days a week you will be willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.

About you

•Willingness to learn on the job and give 100% at all times.
•Good communication skills with an ability to relate well with a range of people.
•Ability to provide a positive customer focus.
•Previous experience working in a similar waste facility environment is an advantage.
•Ability to uphold and demonstrate Hepburn Shire Council’s Organisational Values of Accountability, Respect, Trust, Excellence & Fun.
