The Trentham Community Hub is a significant project for the Trentham and broader Coliban Ward community. It will be a multi-use facility delivering a range of services including library, visitor information and customer services. Community meeting and hall spaces will also be developed in the facility.

After a rigorous community survey, Council resolved to develop the facility at 66 High Street, at the site of the Mechanic’s Institute, including incorporating the original elements of the Mechanic’s Institute Hall in to the new facility.

Council is now beginning the design process for the new facility. To help include community input into this process, we are forming a Project Advisory Group. The purpose of the group is to represent the diverse interests of the Trentham and broader Coliban Ward community in the design process, to help realise the vision of the community for the Trentham Community Hub.

If you’d like to know more about the Project Advisory Group, you can view the Terms of Reference here. If you’d like to submit an Expression of Interest, please read the Terms of Reference and then download the Expression of Interest Form here, complete the form and send it back in to us. The closing date for Expressions of Interest is Sunday, 6 October 2019.

Throughout the design process there will also be a number of opportunities for the broader community to view draft plans and provide feedback, which will be considered in finalising the plans.
