Venues for Hire

Council has a range of spaces you can hire for use.  These range from Town Halls to meeting rooms to gardens for weddings.

Our picture perfect reserves are featured in wedding magazines across the country. Our reserves are well manicured and host that perfect backdrop for your special day. Majority of these reserves are only a few minute drive from the town. Autumn and Spring bring out the best colours for these areas. There is plenty of grassy areas for guests to have room to move and to sit back, relax and enjoy the day.

All users of our indoor community facilities have to be fully vaccinated to enter. Hirers of facilities have a legal requirement to check the immunisation status of all people attending the facility and must ensure all attendees check in using the QR code or a manual system. Any person over the required age (currently 12 years and 2 months of age) who is not fully vaccinated (or does not have a valid medical exemption) cannot enter a Council-owned facility. 

All capacity limits should be read in conjunction with any current COVID-19 related restrictions.

Victoria Park

Ballan-Daylesford Road & Burrell Street, Daylesford

Victoria Park Pavilion is a modern facility that was first opened in April 2016. Victoria Park is home to several groups including the Daylesford Football Netball Club, Daylesford Junior Football Club, Daylesford Table Tennis, Daylesford Mens Shed and the Daylesford Agricultural Show. Within this facility incorporates a commercial kitchen, bar and large multipurpose function room, as well as two football change rooms and umpire facilities. This facility can host up to 120 people / (12 round tables) in the multipurpose function room. Free parking is available at this site and we also have a large variety of accommodation services within our area.

Clunes Town Hall

98 Bailey Street, Clunes

The Clunes Town Hall opened in May 1873. Today, the hall remains a grand building with many historical features intact. Regular users of the hall include Wesley college, Clunes Tourist and Development Association and Clunes Probas. Within this facility we have multiple rooms for use, the main hall, commercial kitchen, senior citizens room.

Creswick Town Hall

70 Albert Street, Creswick

The Creswick Town Hall was built in 1876 and is a testament to the wonderful architecture of the gold rush period. Recently renovated, the Town Hall features a large traditional hall with polished floorboards and stage and a commercial kitchen with crockery, cutlery and a wall-mounted urn provided. Creswick Hub’s public restrooms can be accessed from the Town Hall. This venue is equipped with chairs and trestle tables and is suitable for concerts, markets, dances, formal dinners and other community events.

Daylesford Town Hall

76 Vincent Street, Daylesford

The Daylesford Town Hall was built in the 1800’s and is still used today for Council meetings and Events. Renovations have restored the inner beauty of this hall and it is still holding its historical architecture. The Hall can comfortably seat 385 people for events.
The stage is 85 square metres, has plenty of room to move for theatre shows and concerts. The Senior Citizens facility is located directly behind the town hall and has a small stage and a kitchen. The kitchen can also be used for function’s in the Hall.

Daylesford Senior Citizens

76 Vincent Street, Daylesford (behind Town Hall)

The Senior Citizens room is located behind the Town Hall on the left hand side. It is a medium sized meeting room that can seat up to 60. There is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of bench space as well as 7 portable tables for a banquet setting. The small stage is 2.4m wide, 4.4m long.

Esmond Gallery and Ulumbarra Room at Warehouse Clunes

36 Fraser Street, Clunes

The Warehouse Clunes opened in 2014. This multipurpose facility includes the museum, two large meeting rooms, small buffet kitchen attached to The Esmond Gallery, a library, customer service area also a couch seating area. The Esmond Gallery can seat 60 people for a banquet setting, alternatively 90 for a seated presentation. This room is located upstairs from the library, full of natural light and plenty of space, also has disability access. The Ulumbarra Room can seat 20 people for a banquet setting, or 30 for a seated presentation. This is a cosy conference room situated on the ground floor of the building.

Creswick Hub – Meeting room

68 Albert Street, Creswick

The Creswick Hub is located in the centre of Creswick and is provides Library and Customer Services as well as a number of programs including Baby Rhyme Time and Storytime. The Meeting Room at the Creswick Hub has a capacity of 8-10 people and offers a projector, whiteboard, heating/cooling and urn with tea and coffee supplies. This meeting room is available to the public to hire within opening hours which are 8:30 – 5:00pm on Monday to Friday and 9:00am – 12:00pm on Saturdays.

Clunes Community Centre

Cameron Street, Clunes

Clunes Community Centre is located in the heart of Clunes. Within this facility it has a full size indoor netball/basketball court and a commercial kitchen. This facility can hold over 100 guests for a banquet setting alternatively over 200 for a presentation.

Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens, Central Springs Road, Daylesford.

Situated on the Wombat Hill in Daylesford, the Botanic Gardens have a picturesque view over the township and neighbouring farm lands, especially from the Pioneer’s Memorial Tower. The gardens also hold world war artefacts, the Wombat House Café and conservatory.

Lake Daylesford and Central Springs Reserve, Cnr Leggatt and Bleakley Street, Daylesford

Lake Daylesford is a two minute drive from the town centre. The lake has a peace mile walk the whole way around, the boat house café, a book store and accompanies the Central Springs Reserve. The Reserve is a grassy area alongside the creek, with three mineral water pumps and when there has been a large rainfall, the water from the overflow of lake Daylesford creates a perfect waterfall.

Lake Jubilee, Jubilee Lake Road, Daylesford

Lake Jubilee is a 5 minute drive from town, and backs on to the Jubilee Caravan park. It has open BBQ areas, children’s playground and a kiosk. The heritage bridge along the path around the lake makes a great photo.


Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve, Mineral Springs Reserve Road, Hepburn Springs

The Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve was Australia’s first Mineral Reserve created in 1865 and houses the historic Bathhouse and Pavilion buildings. Take a walk along the creek to each mineral spring and taste the famous mineral water from the pumps. There are BBQ facilities, picnic areas and a playground in this area as well as a rotunda for live shows with a perfect grass area to sit back and relax.


Calembeen Park, Cushing Avenue, Creswick

Calembeen Park has two beautiful lakes that are home to birdlife and displays of waterlilies. It has a BBQ area, open grass areas around the lake and pool also public art on display as you walk around the lake.

Park Lake, Park Lake Drive, Creswick

Park Lake is a small lake with a children’s playground near by and a BBQ area. This lake is has a centrepiece water feature that is a perfect backdrop for family photos.


Queens Park, Ligar Street, Clunes

Queens Park in is a situated beside the Clunes Bowling Club, this shady park features a fenced playground, gorgeous water fountain and an undercover barbecue area.
