Work experience in a local government offers students with exposure to a diversity of careers, ranging from Town Planners, Information Technology, Engineers, Gardeners, Accountants, Customer Service Officers, Library Officers, Aged & Disability Services, Visitor Information Officers, and administration roles.

Hepburn Shire Council is developing a work experience and University Graduate program. The program will provide opportunities for students to be involved in the work environment and provide them with an insight into the important role local government plays in development and supporting local communities.

Council will continue to work with schools and Universities in the region to develop its work experience program.
