You may have heard that many councils are dealing with a shortage of qualified building and planning staff. Unfortunately, Hepburn Shire is no different.
As a result, we are making a temporary change to the building services on offer. From today, building permit applications will need to be made through a private building surveyor rather than through Council.
If you have already submitted a Building Permit application to Council, we will continue to process it.
We apologise for the temporary withdrawal of this service. At this stage we don’t have a clear date for when we can again offer this service. We will keep the community informed.
Council is actively seeking to fill positions in the building and planning department. If you know someone who may be suitable, please encourage them to apply via https://www.hepburn.vic.gov.au/jobs
