Babies and young children

The Victorian immunisation schedule outlines the vaccines provided free of charge to all Victorian children under the National Immunisation Program and the Victorian-funded program. Book an appointment with your family medical practitioner to have your child immunised.

Secondary School Immunisation

Council offers a free Secondary School Immunisation Program at the Daylesford Secondary College based on the National Immunisation Schedule. 

The program is run in conjunction with the Secondary School and there are two scheduled visits at the College per year.

Information packs containing consent card booklets are sent out to families of Year 7 and Year 10. The current immunisation schedule is:

Year 7 Students
  • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine – single injection
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine – two injections, a minimum of six months apart
Year 10 Students
  • Meningococcal ACWY vaccine – single injection.
