Payment plans & assistance

Payment plans are available to ratepayers who are not able to pay their rates by four quarterly instalments or ten monthly instalments.

They’re also available to ratepayers who are behind in their payments and want to take control of the situation. A payment plan gives you flexibility to pay your rates by regular payments of smaller amounts.

Write down your expenses and income to work how much you can pay on a regular basis. This way, you’ll know you can make each payment on time.

The amount of each regular payment must be enough to settle the rates you owe in a realistic timeframe.

To arrange a payment plan, call Council’s Finance Department on (03) 5348 2306 to discuss whether it’s suitable for you. Then apply by emailing shire@hepburn.vic.gov.au.

Council’s Financial Services staff will assess your application and may ask you to verify the information provided and/or provide further relevant information.

Financial Services staff will try to set up a practical payment plan for full payment of your rates in a realistic timeframe.

If you are experiencing financial hardship or would like to apply for a payment plan visit our rates assistance page.
