One of Council's roles is to advocate for better outcomes for our Shire through service improvements and capital investment.

Rural Councils Victoria (RCV)

Council is a member of RCV. RCV have released their Federal Election Platform(PDF, 691KB). This platform represents a central plank of joint advocacy to Federal MPs, candidates and policymakers ahead of the federal election — and beyond.

Greater Ballarat Alliance of Councils (GBAC)

Council is a member of GBAC, which also includes the City of Ballarat, Central Goldfields Shire Council, Golden Plains Shire Council, Moorabool Shire Council, and Pyrenees Shire Council.

The group has a common goal to ensure our communities receive the services and infrastructure they need to prosper.
