Rhyme Time

Rhyme Time is a great place for our youngest book fans to come together and enjoy a story, a song and maybe a puppet or two with our staff:

Daylesford 10:30 am Monday with Meg
Creswick 10:30 am Tuesday with Diana
Trentham 11 am Wednesday with Caro
Clunes 11:30 am Thursday with Caro

Sessions run between 30 and 45 minutes. It is designed for children from newborn to two years of age. Older siblings are also welcome.

Please note, these sessions do not run during school holidays.

The schedule includes an acknowledgement of country, welcome song, shaker songs, toys and songs, story, and finishes with bubbles and rice crackers.

We understand that some children may need to take a break during the session. They are welcome to rejoin when ready.

Storytime

Storytime is for preschool-aged book fans who love an interactive and fun storytelling experience:

Daylesford 10:30 am Friday with May or Erin

Please note, this does not run during school holidays.

Sessions run for 45 minutes. The sessions are designed for children from two years to five years of age. Younger siblings are also welcome.

The schedule includes an acknowledgement of country, welcome song, action songs, picture books, prop songs and finishes with bubbles and rice crackers, along with an optional craft and chat time.

We understand that some children may need to take a break during the session. They are welcome to rejoin when ready.

Please note, our facilitators may change depending on staff availability.

Stitch and yarn

Bring your latest craft project along and meet with friendly locals at this casual weekly catch-up.

Daylesford - 10 am to 12 pm Wednesdays
Creswick - 10:30 am to 11:30 am Fridays.

School holiday programs

Each school holidays we offer a variety of events and activities for school-aged children. These activities are finalised close to the holidays, with summer holiday activities occurring in the latter part of January. Visit our events page to see any upcoming opportunities. You can also check in with library staff or pick up a leaflet from your local library.
