Council has awarded community grants to projects across the Shire supporting local projects and initiatives that enhance the social, environmental and economic life.

Mayor, Cr Tony Clark, said that the 17 funded initiatives help strengthen communities by creating opportunities for participation, celebration, development, inclusion and sustainability.

“Community grants are an important way Council can support local people to deliver projects that matter to their communities. These grants help turn good ideas into practical initiatives that bring people together, strengthen connection and create positive outcomes across Hepburn Shire,” said Cr Clark.

The funded projects demonstrate community commitment and align with one or more of the key focus areas in the Council Plan 2025–2029, or benefit priority groups outlined in the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

In 2025/26, the program provided grants of up to $5,000 to community groups, totalling around $57,000.
