Last night’s terrorist attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, was a deplorable act fuelled by hatred.
Hepburn Shire Council stands with the Australian Government in condemning the violent attack that has killed and injured so many Australians at Bondi Beach on Sunday 14 December.
We stand with the Australian and Hepburn Shire Jewish communities during this terrible time. We commend the bravery of the police, first responders and community heroes who risked everything to protect and save our community.
Division, violence or hatred has no place in any community and goes against everything that we stand for. The Hepburn Shire is known for its welcoming, inclusive nature, and we do not tolerate any act that threatens to disrupt this peace.
This morning, we grieve the tragic loss of life and extend our condolences to the families of those affected.
