Trentham National Tiny Towns Award

This morning Trentham was officially named the Top Tiny Tourism Town at the Australian Top Tourism Town Awards, against some formidable competition, including Robe (SA), Kalbarri (WA), Huskisson (NSW), Stanley (Tas) and Town of 1770 (Qld).

This national award comes after winning the 2025 Victoria Top Tourism Town in the Tiny Tourism Town category in July 2025.

Trentham took out the Gold Award, Huskisson Silver and Town of 1770 Bronze.

Mayor, Cr Don Henderson, said that this was a remarkable achievement for Trentham and the region.

“We are incredibly proud and excited to see the benefits this will bring to our community and local businesses. Trentham stands out for its natural beauty, charm, community spirit, and visitor appeal. This coveted national award is recognition of Trentham's unique tourism offerings,” said Cr Don Henderson.

Council worked closely with Destination Central Victoria (formerly Daylesford Macedon Tourism) on the application and promotional video.

“Thank you to Council’s Economic Development team, Destination Central Victoria and local businesses for their hard work in submitting a strong application. For all those visitors and community members who voted for Trentham, thank you. Trentham is now recognised as the best tiny tourist town in Australia." said Cr Don Henderson.
