Vale Steve Wroe

It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of friend and colleague, Steve Wroe (CEO of Destination Central Victoria) who lost his battle with cancer over the weekend.

Steve took over Daylesford Macedon Tourism seven years ago and through his expertise, grit and determination has transformed the organisation into what it is today: a successful and thriving operation. 

Of course, inside and outside of his work, Steve was a truly kind and thoughtful person who always wanted the best for his community. 

Steve always had a genuine passion to support, advocate and promote the local tourism industry and in recent years worked with Council to win tourism awards on a national stage. 

Steve’s enthusiasm, passion, and friendship will be missed.

Thank you for leaving such a legacy for our beautiful region.
