On Saturday 25 October from 10 am to 2 pm, the Emergency Services Expo 2025 is set to take over Victoria Park in Daylesford.
The Expo will be a large-scale, family-friendly community event designed to strengthen disaster preparedness, awareness, and engagement across Hepburn Shire.
Mayor, Cr Don Henderson, said that the event is a great opportunity for the community to meet and reconnect with our local heroes.
“We have been hit hard over the recent years by a number of different natural disasters, and one thing has remained constant, our loyal and dedicated emergency service personnel. This event is a chance for us to come together and connect with our local agencies to prepare ourselves for the future,” said Cr Don Henderson.
The Expo will bring together emergency service agencies, community organisations, local businesses, and residents in one accessible, interactive setting.
Over nine emergency services agencies will be showcasing the vital roles they perform during emergencies including CFA, SES, Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, Forest Fire Management, Parks Victoria, Australian Red Cross, and Council.
Demonstrations, displays, and interactive activities will provide practical information and hands-on learning to help our community better understand local risks, prepare for emergencies, and build resilience.
“There will be a special focus on engaging families, children, and vulnerable groups through inclusive, fun and easy-to-understand activities. This is a free community event, and everyone is welcome to come along and get involved,” said Cr Don Henderson.
