Today, Council was forced to close the Creswick Hub after three separate incidences of threatening behaviour and intimidation of front-line staff. The first two incidents occurred earlier this week and the third today, involving the same staff members. As you can appreciate the staff members are very shaken by these incidents. These are only three isolated incidents, and this kind of behaviour is occurring all too often against Council staff. We appreciate that the majority of our community is respectful and courteous to staff, and it is a select few who cross the line. We apologise to the broader community for the service interruption.

Our dedicated staff deserve to be treated with respect, and we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour.

The Creswick Hub will reopen at 2 pm tomorrow (Thursday 11 December).
