Hepburn Shire Council (Council) formally resolved to withdraw from being a contract manager in the delivery of maternal and child health (MCH) services at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 23 June 2026.
Hepburn Shire is now in an extraordinary position. Five of our seven Councillors have been automatically stood down following privately initiated prosecutions.
Hepburn Shire Council has reaffirmed with independent advice that its adopted 2026/27 Budget is compliant with legislative requirements and would like to correct commentary suggesting otherwise.
