Forage and Feast showcasing our Shire’s producers and hospitality
Published on 13 January 2026
Council is encouraging locals and visitors to explore the Hepburn Shire during the Forage & Feast festival from 12 January to 15 February. Following on from a successful festival last year, Council is proud to, once again, be supporting our local businesses and producers through this month-long celebration of food and hospitality.
Mayor, Cr Tony Clark, said that the festival will showcase our region’s outstanding growers, makers, wineries, and hospitality operators through a program of food, wine and farm-based experiences.
“Our region offers unique paddock-to-plate experiences that cannot be missed. We have several local businesses hosting events during the festival, promoting local producers and produce, so there is plenty to choose from,” said Cr Clark.
Participating businesses include:
- Daylesford Cider
- RACV Goldfields Resort
- Dairy Flat Farm
- Lake House
- Alice’s Journeys Foodie & History Walking Tour
- Odessa at Leaver’s Hotel
- Brooklands Free Range Farm
- Little Hampton Farm
- Wombat Forest Winery
- Village Dreaming
Participating businesses will bring visitors and locals together to celebrate Hepburn Shire’s rich food, wine, and farming culture through unique events that highlight local ingredients and stories.
The festival provides an opportunity for our Shire to showcase how local businesses support local producers. It also highlights the strength and diversity of our visitor economy.
“These events encourage visitors to stay longer, fill our cafes, pubs, cellar doors and farm gates, and help local operators keep locals employed. It’s the perfect excuse to eat and drink locally, discover something new, and support the businesses that support our community all year round,” said Cr Clark.
Council is proud to work alongside the Central Highlands Growers & Producers Hub and regional partners to support Forage & Feast 2026.
