Online session to help support Community Grants Program applications
Published on 16 April 2026
Community groups are being encouraged to bring their project ideas to life, with Council’s Community Grants Program now officially open for applications.
To support applicants, Council is hosting an online information session where community members can learn more about the grant process, eligibility requirements, and how to submit a strong application. The session, to be held on Thursday 30 April 2026 from 6:30–7:30 pm, will also provide an opportunity to ask questions directly.
Not-for-profit community organisations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 to deliver projects that promote community wellbeing, increase social connection, and build capacity for long-term sustainability.
Mayor, Cr Tony Clark, said these programs are designed to empower community organisations to deliver meaningful projects that make a real difference and add value to our vibrant home.
“Community groups are the beating heart of our municipality, bringing people together and creating opportunities for connection, inclusion and support. I encourage interested applicants to take advantage of the online session to maximise their chances of success,” he said.
Grant applications will close on Friday 15 May 2026. Eligible groups should register their interest to attend the information session.
