Learn how to prepare for flash and riverine flooding, including warnings, safety tips, and what to do, followed by free afternoon tea.

What would you do if flash flooding or riverine flooding impacted your community?

Join Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) for a practical, easy-to-understand session focused on staying safe during flood events. You’ll learn the difference between flash flooding and riverine flooding, how to recognise risks, understand warnings, and take simple steps to protect yourself, your family, and your property.

This session is designed for everyone, no prior knowledge needed. SES volunteers will share real-world insights, answer your questions, and help you feel more confident about what to do before, during, and after a flood.

After the session, stay for a free afternoon tea and a chance to connect with local SES volunteers and other community members.

Come along, build your knowledge, and take a simple step towards being better prepared.
