Hear about the high level arrangements that are in place for Victoria, followed by panel members from the likes of CFA, Police, SES, etc.

In Australia, the risks we face from disasters are becoming increasingly frequent and complex. While the Hepburn community is known for its strength and resilience, there is always more we can do to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.

Evidence shows that communities that are well connected and actively engaged in preparedness are more likely to cope effectively and recover more quickly when disaster strikes.

This workshop features our Emergency Services Panel, designed to give attendees insight into the emergency management arrangements in Victoria.

You’ll hear from representatives of various agencies that hold legislated roles and responsibilities within Victoria’s emergency management framework. Each representative will be asked the same two questions and given up to four minutes to speak:

What are the roles and responsibilities of your agency during and immediately after an emergency?
What can the community expect from your agency during an emergency?

Following the panel discussion, there will be a Q&A session and a free lunch - an opportunity to connect with agency representatives and ask further questions:
