Council hubs, libraries and the Daylesford Visitor Information Centre will be closed on Tuesday 4 November. All other services including bin collections and the Daylesford Transfer Station will run as usual.
Young people in the Hepburn Shire have the opportunity to step on to the world stage to share their vision for a better future by taking part in the TEDx Daylesford Youth Talks. Supported by Council and Ace Youth Development, TEDx Daylesford Youth involves young speakers giving short talks and sharing ideas that have the potential to inspire massive change.
TED Talks can be about anything that changes the world for the better and some talks have attracted millions of views online. The inaugural TEDx Daylesford Youth Talks are now available to view online, and you can find more information about each speaker on the TEDx website.
Would you like to be part of TEDx Daylesford Youth? Are you aged between 12 and 25? Got something to say? Register your interest in being a speaker.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x = an independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised (subject to certain rules and regulations).
