School holiday activities

When school holidays roll round we have a range of art and recreation activities to break up boredom of sitting around at home. In the past we have run skateboarding sessions, collage workshops, gaming nights, hip hop classes, and online aerobics. We aim to make these activities free of charge.

TAC L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program

Council partners with the Ballarat Foundation to deliver the L2P program. The Program assists disadvantaged learner drivers aged 16 to 21 with no access to a supervising driver or vehicle to gain the 120 hours driving experience.

Join our Amplify crew 

After more than 25 years of delivering youth-led music and cultural events, FReeZA is evolving. The Victorian Government is excited to introduce Amplify – a new era of youth events in Victoria for the next generation of young people.

While the name has changed, the purpose remains the same. Amplify will continue to support collaborations with young people in planning and delivering music, creative arts, and cultural events across Victoria.

If you are a young person interested in being part of the Shire’s Amplify crew, please register your interest. We would love to have you on board.

Equipment for youth events

Council's Ace Youth Development team has a range of equipment available for loan to entities or individuals working with young people in Hepburn Shire. This equipment includes a PA system, podcasting kits, PlayStation console and more, and is made available at no charge on the understanding that it is returned in good condition and in a timely manner. Bookings are subject to availability and equipment is allocated by date of request.
