Reusable product voucher program

The 2026 Reusable voucher program will run from 1 February to 31 May 2026. Unless the allocated funds are exhausted prior.

To support Hepburn Shire households reduce the amount of waste they create, Council is offering a discount voucher for the purchase of cloth nappies, period products and other single-use items, working with local business Darlings Down Under. The program aims to help residents to think and act sustainably.

Use the voucher code for $50 voucher* off products. *Minimum spend is $50. Eligible products are listed below.

Eligible items for 2025/26 include:

  • Cloth nappies
  • Swim nappies
  • Training pants
  • Wet bags
  • Reusable wipes
  • Liners
  • Inserts and boosters
  • Cloth nappy covers
  • Period products, such as reusable pads and period cups
  • Nursing pads
  • Incontinence underwear
  • Period swimwear
  • Absorbent bed sheets

How to access a voucher?

  1. Go to www.darlingsdownunder.com.au
  2. Add at least $50 worth of eligible products to your cart (excludes delivery).
  3. Enter the discount code HEPBURN2026 at the checkout.
  4. Select $8 local delivery, postal or pick up.
  5. Proceed with payment and checkout.

Then wait for your goodies to arrive!

Pease note: There is a limit at one use per household. 

Residents who claimed in 2024/25 are able to claim again in the 2026 program.

Delivery

Local delivery for the Hepburn Shire is set at $8. Please note that if we don't have a substantial amount of orders to deliver, orders will be posted via Australia Post at the same rate of $8.

Why change to reusable items?

  • Around 660 million disposable nappies, sanitary and incontinence products end up in landfill in Australia each year?
  • Every child will use on average 6,000-7,000 nappies before they toilet train. 
  • Over the course of a lifetime, a menstruator will use between 5,000 – 15,000 sanitary products. Most of which will end up in a landfill.
  • During production, disposable nappies use three times more energy and water, and 20 times more raw materials than reusable nappies.
  • It takes one cup of crude oil to make one disposable nappy.
  • Each nappy takes 500+ years to breakdown in landfill, releasing methane in the process (a harmful gas which contributes to global warming).
  • On average, a child will use $3,500 worth of nappies. Reusable nappies can cost you between $500 and $1,500.
  • Reusable nappies can be used from child to child and from household to household. Buying reusable nappies second hand can cut down costs even further.
  • If you use disposable nappies, these go in your landfill/general rubbish bin.
