Advocacy

One of Council's roles is to advocate for better outcomes for our Shire through service improvements and capital investment.

Our Advocacy Statement outlines the key projects and initiatives that we are advocating for, on behalf of our community.

Rural Councils Victoria

Hepburn Shire Council is a member of Rural Council Victoria (RCV). RCV have released their Federal Election Platform(PDF, 691KB). This platform represents a central plank of joint advocacy to Federal MPs, candidates and policymakers ahead of the federal election — and beyond.

GBAC

Hepburn Shire is a member of the Greater Ballarat Alliance of Councils (GBAC), which also includes City of Ballarat, Central Goldfields Shire Council, Golden Plains Shire Council, Moorabool Shire Council, and Pyrenees Shire Council.

The group has a common goal to ensure our communities receive the services and infrastructure they need to prosper.
