Join Jason McAinch, Macedon Ranges Shire Council's private Land Conservation Officer, to discuss and learn how to graze your horse in a sustainable way. Learn from each other and discuss the current situations on your own property. The location of the field day is on a property in Drummond.

The Healthy Landscapes: Practical Regenerative Agricultural Communities program aims to raise awareness in their community about sustainable land management practices that improve soil health, reduce exposure to climate risk, enhance biodiversity and increase on-farm productivity.

We offer the following programs about agricultural practices to help you improve your land, soil, water and livestock:

  • Individual, free, on-farm advice
  • Webinars, workshops and field days
  • Holistic Grazing Management course
  • Small Property Grazing course
  • Farmer discussion groups
  • Equine focused discussion group

This program is being delivered as a partnership between Macedon Ranges Shire Council (MRSC), Hepburn Shire Council, the City of Greater Bendigo, A Healthy Coliban Catchment project (North Central Catchment Management Authority and Coliban Water),and Melbourne Water
